Warning: This filter should only be used with a dedicated View. Do not apply this filter to an existing View.
Some reports will not function properly after applying this filter. Modifying the URI may also affect other filters applied to the View.
This filter will prepend the hostname to the URI field. This is useful for sites that span multiple hostnames on a single domain name. E.g. www.example.com, store.example.com, blog.example.com.
Once in place any reports in GA that would display an URL like /index.html will now show the hostname with the page URL like www.example.com/index.html.
This filter thus allows you to determine individual visit counts for URLs that are shared by multiple host names. E.g www.example.com/about.html vs blog.example.com/about.html.
